Acceptable Use Policy

Version 1.1 · Effective 14 August 2026

In short

  • Use evifound for genuine business and investment diligence, nothing else.
  • No consumer-eligibility decisions, no harassment, no surveillance, no reselling the data.
  • Do not attack, scrape or reverse-engineer the platform.
  • Breach can mean immediate suspension.

1. Who this applies to

Everyone who uses evifound: subscribers and their users, founders in the founder portal, referees, and anyone opening a shared report link.

2. Legitimate purpose

Order a verification only where you have a genuine and lawful diligence purpose and a real business connection to the subject — for example an investment, acquisition, financing, partnership or governance matter. Curiosity, personal disputes and speculative checks on people you have no dealings with are not permitted.

3. Prohibited uses

⚠ You must not:

  • use output for employment, credit, tenancy, insurance or other consumer-eligibility decisions (see Not a Consumer Report);
  • harass, intimidate, stalk, dox or discriminate against anyone;
  • conduct covert surveillance, or check a person on behalf of someone who wants to do any of the above;
  • publish a report, or resell, syndicate or license output, or use it to build a competing dataset or model;
  • present output as a criminal-record certificate, credit report, rating or endorsement;
  • misrepresent a line, strip its label, date or source, or alter an export;
  • submit false information or altered supporting documents;
  • impersonate another person or organisation, or accept an invitation intended for someone else.

4. Platform integrity

Do not:

  • probe, scan or test the security of the platform without our written permission;
  • access accounts, records or reports you were not given access to;
  • scrape, crawl or bulk-extract data, or use automated tools against the service beyond normal use;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive our methodology or models;
  • introduce malware, overload the service, or interfere with other users;
  • share, sell or publish a report share link beyond the people permitted in your agreement.

5. Content you upload

You must have the right to upload any pitch deck, business plan or document, and it must not contain malware or infringe anyone's rights.

6. Reporting abuse

Report misuse or a suspected security issue to info@evifound.com. We do not pursue good-faith security researchers who report responsibly and avoid accessing other people's data.

7. Enforcement

We may investigate, restrict a feature, remove content, suspend or terminate an account, and report unlawful activity to the authorities. Serious breaches lead to immediate termination without refund under the Platform Service Agreement.
